The dates have been set for the 2012 Fiber Arts Festival. The location will be the same as last year.

Saturday, October 13, 10am – 5pm
Sunday, October 14, 11am – 4pm
We had another successful festival this year! The guild worked very hard to get more vendors, advertising, and decorations to make this event one to remember. In addition to the regular vendor spaces there also was a people’s choice art show. Below are photos of some of the items displayed. Over the next few days I will post photos of some of the vendor booths.

Tomorrow is the first day of the 2010 Schafer Meadow’s Fiber Festival at our new location in Elma. In addition to supplies and finished fiber related goods for sale, several people will also be selling some equipment. If that is not enough to excite you, how about just coming down and hanging out with a bunch of like minded people. Bring your spinning wheel, or other fiber related project, and a chair and come on down and hang out for a day or two (or three.) If you don’t have something to work on, don’t worry. We have 16 or so free classes (you may need to purchase a small amount of supplies on hand) and demonstrations lined up for you for the weekend as well as a few vendor related “make-n-take” projects offered at a reasonable price (under $5.00.) We hope to see you this weekend!

The time for our next Fiber Festival is fast approaching. Since we have outgrown our space in the barn at Schafer Meadows, we will be hosting our event at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds this year. The larger space brings a few changes for us. First, we will be able to accommodate more vendors. Second, each vendor will be taking their own payments.
The dates for this year’s event are Friday, October 8, Noon – 6pm, Saturday, October 9, 9am – 6pm, and Sunday, October 10, 10am – 4pm.

Our fiber guild group only has one meeting left before our next Fiber Festival. We are all excited for this year’s event. Like last year, we will have a ton of fiber related materials for sale, finished products, and some books and equipment. Also, we have several new mini-workshops and demonstrations planned. Of course, they are free!
